I joined the Exeter Spectrum Programme as the Geography department’s Autism Champion in 2021. This role involves working to improve autistic students university experience, particularly in the Geography department. For example, this has involved a presentation at an all-staff Learning & Teaching event about autism and supporting autistic students in Geography; as well as feeding into developing new guidelines around fieldtrip inclusivity, accounting for neurodiversity.
Please email me, DM me on Twitter, or use whichever route you are comfortable communicating through if you would like to talk to me in this role. When I am on campus, you are also welcome to drop in at my office (Amory 355c). I welcome discussions with students who identify as autistic (formally or self-diagnosed), about your experience whilst a student in the department.
